Blush is a grotesque typeface drawn from the shape of the land. As it gets heavier, its ink traps open like valleys between hills, keeping every join clear at any weight.

Where strokes meet, Blush cuts a notch. Small at Light and wide at Black, they keep heavy joins open on screen and stop ink pooling in print.

Blush Text has the bones of Blush, tuned for long passages. Weight runs 300 to 700, and a grade axis adds weight without adding width.

High in the valley the fields are laid out in steps, each one held up by a wall of fitted stone.
The terraces were built by hand, and they are still worked by hand. Water runs down from one to the next, and so does the soil, slowly, over many years. Seen from above they read like lines of type: long even rows, a steady rhythm, a little give at the end of each.
Blush Text was drawn to sit in rows like that. Its grade lets a page go a shade darker on screen at night, or on a cheap printer, without a single line breaking in a new place.
