and conditions

Legal mumbo-jumbo.

This license is an agreement between you (the person or business buying Blush, "you") and Matthew Pence ("I", "me").

Buying, downloading, installing or using Blush means you accept it. If you don't accept it, don't use the fonts, and contact me for a refund.

1. What this covers

"The Fonts" means the Blush and Blush Text font software in every format I provide (for example OTF, TTF, WOFF2, and variable fonts), and any updates I give you. The Fonts are licensed to you, not sold: I keep the copyright and all other rights in them.

What you pay, above the minimum price, doesn't change this license. Every purchase gets the same rights.

2. Who can use them

One purchase is for one person, or one business with up to 5 people using the Fonts. If more people at your business need them, contact me for a larger license.

You may give the Fonts to a contractor or agency working on your project, as long as they use them only for that work and delete them when it's done.

3. What you can do

Commercial use is allowed for everything in this section.

  • Desktop. Install the Fonts on computers used by the people covered in section 2, and use them to make anything: print, packaging, signs, images, video, presentations, documents.
  • Web. Use the Fonts as webfonts on websites and web apps you own or run, hosted on your own servers. There's no page-view limit. Don't make the font files directly downloadable (for example, by linking to them on a page).
  • Apps, games and e-books. Embed the Fonts in apps, games and e-books you make and distribute, as long as the font files can't easily be pulled out and reused.
  • Logos and trademarks. Use the Fonts in a logo or wordmark, and register it as a trademark. The trademark covers your logo, not the Fonts.

4. What you can't do

  • Share or sell the Fonts. Don't give, sell, rent or upload the font files to anyone outside section 2, including putting them in a shared drive, a public repository or a font library.
  • Modify the Fonts. Don't edit, adapt or convert the font files, or make other fonts from them. The one exception: subsetting or converting them automatically, only so that they can be used as allowed in section 3 (for example, a build tool that subsets a webfont).
  • Let your users type with them. Don't offer the Fonts as a choice in products where your customers or users set their own text: template or design tools, print-on-demand, or personalised products. That needs a separate license; contact me.
  • Train AI with them. Don't use the Fonts, or the outlines in them, to train or improve machine-learning or generative-AI models.

5. If you break this license

If you break the terms of this license, it ends automatically and you must stop using the Fonts and delete every copy. Things you made with the Fonts before then (printed work, published images) can stay as they are.

6. No warranty

The Fonts are provided as they are. I don't guarantee they're free of errors or suitable for any particular purpose. As far as the law allows, I'm not liable for any loss or damage from using them, and my total liability is limited to what you paid for this license.

7. General

  • This license is governed by the laws of the state of Georgia, United States of America.
  • If any part of it can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
  • I may update this license for future purchases. The version you agreed to keeps applying to your purchase.
